The bite has been good this past before the fronts that have moved through. The redfish were chewing steady on both live bait and artificial. They are still not super aggressive so subtle movements is a must. The trout bite has also been good as well with several coming boat side. Soft plastics and plugs have been working well along with live finger mullet. I have also noticed the blue fish have worked there way inshore as well and they make for a great fight on light tackle. We still have some schools of black drum scattered from New Smyrna Beach south through Mosquito Lagoon. Another species that has made there appearance in large numbers is Micky the Manatee. This past week I have seen a lot of groups holding in the running lanes so please be very careful while navigating to you fishing destination.
