"My Anniversary"
"My wife and I enjoy fishing together so in November we decided to think outside the box and book a trip with Captain Patrick Rood for our anniversary. I am what you would consider a avid angler and have fished the Lagoon before where as My wife has never fished for or caught a redfish so this would be her first time. The professionalism we encountered with Captain Patrick was second to none. He took his time with my wife and taught her what she needed to know. With in minutes of the first stop We had fish, boat side and taking pictures in no time. In conversation I asked Captain Patrick how long he has fished the Lagoon and he replied his whole life. I would have to say that is true because it seemed as if we were fishing in his back yard. The knowledge of his equipment and local waters made for an easy and relaxing day on the water. We told the Captain that we were after quality not quantity and he definitely provided. We absolutely had the time of our lives! “Been fishing all my Life"
"I have been a resident of central Florida and an avid fishermen for over 20 years. I have fished New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon several times before but have had trouble locating and catching quality fish. I have never had fishing experiences like I have had with Capt. Patrick Rood and Spot N Tail Charters. Capt. Patrick displayed a wealth of knowledge about the sport, area and wildlife along with displaying great patience and skill in guiding me to the trophy redfish and trout we sought out to catch. I have been a customer of his business several times and I am yet to be remotely disappointed. "I've dreamed of catching Redfish out of the Mosquito Lagoon since I was a boy. My father and I would watch fishing shows on TV and say some day we're going to do that! One day I finally decided to follow through on my dream of fishing Mosquito lagoon and booked with Spot N Tail Charters. When I met Capt. Patrick at the ramp I knew right away he was the man for the job. We hired Capt. Pat for my fathers birthday and what a birthday it turned out to be. We had a BLAST!!! We enjoyed every minute from the boat ride to the Catching of several different species of fish that inhabit the lagoon. (Its not just called fishing when your with Capt. Pat). I scheduled a trip as an anniversary present for my husband and I.We had an awesome day and caught several fish. To say the least he knows fishing the lagoon area like the back of his hand.I would definitely recommend a trip with him if you want someone who is going to put you on the fish !!
