It's hard to believe that it is already 2018. It seems as though this year has just flown by. With the start of the new came with the start of a new cold front here on the Lagoon. After these winds settle down in a few days I'm foreseeing some great sight fishing . The shifting winds will decrease water levels in the New Smyrna Beach back waters and Mosquito Lagoon. The water clarity has been great and should be even better after this recent cold snap. The redfish and trout have been chewing well along with the black drum. They have all been chewing better later in the morning as the temperatures start to increase.
