The bite has been pretty good here in the Central FL area. We have definitely had some up and down weather over the past couple of weeks sometimes making it challenging. The water levels throughout New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon have started to lower after a few days of shifting winds. The water temps are still pretty chilly and with highs in the fifties and sixties this week they will probably continue to be. The redfish , black drum and trout have been chewing well, the snook on the other hand are still looking for a heated blanket. Shrimp and finger mullet have been the go to baits lately but smaller soft plastics and spoons have also been doing the trick.
