The bite continues to be steady throughout the waters of New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon. The bait has been plentiful scattered both in the backwaters and on the flats. Look for the trout, redfish and snook in and around the bait pods. Both artificial and live bait have been working well.
Plugs and spoons early then moving to soft plastics backed up by some some live shrimp or mullet as well. The wind has definitely been a force to play with this past week but it has also allowed the fish to not be on edge making it easier to get shots on them. The weather looks to be good for the most part this up coming week which should just reassure the bite.
