I believe the summer time weather pattern is in full swing here in New Smyrna Beach. We are getting our typical afternoon thunderstorms which seems to be dumping a good amount of rain at times. The storms have not phased the bite on Mosquito Lagoon. We have been bringing great numbers of trout and redfish boat side this past week. I have fished north in the New Smyrna Beach area one day and the south Mosquito Lagoon the next and the bite has been just as good at both. There is still a large amount of bait through out the New Smyrna Beach area which has been keeping the bite on the good side as well. The jacks, tarpon, snook, redfish and trout have all been taking their shots at the bait pods moving through the area.
