The weather has definitely been affecting us here in the New Smyrna Beach area. We have been receiving a lot of rain making for high dirty water conditions in Mosquito Lagoon. The fish have spread out a little with the higher water so focusing on the bait pods have been the key. Look for the bait condensed and you will find fish. The trout and redfish have both been mixed in with the schools of mullet. Plugs, spoons , shrimp and pin fish have all been working well. Hopefully we will be getting a little break from the rain in the up coming week. The snook and jacks can still be seen shattering pods of mullet along the shorelines as well.
