The bite has been good through out the New Smyrna Beach area south into Mosquito Lagoon. We are dealing with a little bit of dirty water in Mosquito Lagoon but nothing abnormal during this time of year. There is still good numbers of bait pods scattered across the backwaters of New Smyrna Beach and the creeks of Edgewater. The redfish , snook and tarpon have been chewing early and ten slacking off as the heat of the day turns on. The trout bite has been steady all day long with them moving to deeper edges when the day heats up. Look for very busy conditions this weekend in the New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon area with the Fourth of July upon us.
