New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon Inshore Fishing Report by Capt. Patrick Rood
With the recent blast of cold air we have received here in New Smyrna Beach the winds have shifted out of the NW and the water has started to drop a bit. With low clean water through out both New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon the redfish have started to group up in good numbers. The trout have also started to really show there winter time pattern as well by holding in the sand holes looking for a easy meal. The black drum have also started to make an appearance in groups as well. It looks like we will have to deal with the wind for a couple of days but should subside later in the week and the sight fishing should be really good afterwards.
