With the approaching cold front this week the weather will be turning a little nasty with some rain and strong winds. But after the clearing of the wind and rain will bring in some cooler stable conditions making for a great bite. Look for the fish to be holding on the mud and sand bottoms throughout the backwaters of New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon.
Depending on the water temperatures after this front they maybe a little sluggish early so cut bait and shrimp are always a good choice along with small soft plastics worked extremely slow . Don’t let the cooler temperatures scare you away this time of year makes for some of the best fishing.
