We have definitely entered our summer time pattern here in New Smyrna Beach with hot summer days and afternoon showers. The bite has been good early and tapering off as the day moves on. We have been boating a mixed bag of species from trout, redfish and jacks to snook and the occasional tarpon. Mosquito Lagoon has been holding a lot of bait over the past couple of weeks which has produced a good trout bite. Further north in the New Smyrna Beach area we have had a good redfish , snook and jack bite. Focus on the structure on a out going tide. Both artificials and live bait have been working well to create a bite.
