The weather may have cooled off just a little but that bite still seems to be hot . We are continuing to boat several different species trout and redfish to snook and black drum. The bait is still in great numbers throughout the backwaters of New Smyrna Beach and south into Mosquito Lagoon. The bite still seems to be slowing down by mid day due to the heat but the mornings have been the ticket. Look for the large bait pods and the fish will be near by . We have also had some good numbers of fish shallow up on the flats milling around early as well. Live bait and soft plastics have been working well along with a gold spoon . The weather looks good through the week so I foresee the bite continuing.
