The bite has been pretty good throughout the New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon waters. We are coming off the back side of the full moon along with a lot of rain this past week has created higher then usual water conditions. The higher water has pushed the redfish and trout up into the shallows of the Lagoon for a chance at new food source. The recent rain fall has definitely got the tarpon active throughout the intracoastal and inlets. It looks like we may have a little system trying to start something over Central FL the next few days so the bite may slow a little if it dumps as much rain as they are calling for. But we do live in FL and the forecast is never the same within a hour.
