New Smyrna Beach fishing has been on fire this past month and will only continue to be good. We have had a consistent trout and redfish bite south through Mosquito Lagoon. The weather has been extremely hot but with the early morning breeze it has been making for a steady bite. Look for the large amount bait throughout the New Smyrna Beach backwaters.
Top waters and spoons have been working well around the oysters and mud flats along with the grass flats further south. Live bait has also been a good choice like pin fish and mullet. There has been a good number of tarpon and jacks scattered throughout New Smyrna as well and willing to eat.
