The weather has been nasty this past week with wind and rain for three days straight across the New Smyrna Beach area. The good news is the fish are still chewing well. We do have a influx of water throughout Mosquito Lagoon making water levels higher than usual. The water clarity is also a little tainted as well making sight fishing a little difficult. We do have a decent amount of bait moving through the area which is allowing our redfish, trout, snook, flounder and several other species chew well. Spoons, twitch baits , soft plastics and live bait have been producing well both in New Smyrna and south throughout the Lagoon. Look for the weather to stable out the next few days and the bite continue to stay steady.
