This past weekend the I F A Redfish Tour made a stop on Mosquito Lagoon. So with 72 plus teams looking for redfish weeks prior. And us everyday charter guides fishing it made for slim pickings of fish that wanted to look at a bait. We still managed to have success on the water we just had to work a little harder at it then usual. The bite was definitely a lot better closer to New Smyrna Beach away from the crowds on the water. Now that things are settling back down I can see the fish coming back to their normal behaviors. We have been catching good numbers of snook, trout, black drum and redfish from New Smyrna Beach south through out Mosquito Lagoon. The bite off the beach has been pretty good as well with cobia scooting along the coast of New Smyrna south to Canaveral.
