I'm sitting here after one day of many to come of putting things back to normal after the visit of Irma the Hurricane. I have been wrapped up in the aggravation of no gas, yard debris, lost income and etc. It has just dawned on me how lucky myself and many others are that our families and friends have scraped by this massive storm unscathed. I still have a few days of cleaning and re assembling things before heading back on the water. I do know we have had some pretty extensive dock damage along the coast which will produce a lot of floating debris so please navigate carefully. The water level is much higher than usual and will be residing slowly in the up coming days to weeks. The fish especially red fish will be taking advantage of the new food source the rising water levels has brought to them. The trout will still be holding on points and bars were the bait is trapped or moving through.
I hope everyone has made it through this storm of great magnitude with very little damage or loss. Good luck and please be safe! Capt Patrick Rood www.spotntailcharters.com (386)566-1394
