With the recent strong winds and high water fishing has been a challenge. The water clarity in Mosquito Lagoon is very dirty making sight fishing extremely hard. Throwing search baits has been a good way to produce a bite. Moving into the sheltered creeks of New Smyrna is a good way to avoid the wind. Throwing live shrimp and mullet on the leeward shorelines will also produce a bite. With a tropical storm passing to the west of us by the end of the week the weather should start to stable and the bite will improve.
